After being revealed back in April 2021 and planned for a late 2021 release, Forever Entertainment has announced that The House of the Dead Remake, will launch on Switch on April 7 and they have released a new trailer to celebrate.

They still have not released a lot of details on it, but as a remake the story is the same as the original 1997 release. They have confirmed that there are changes to the gameplay, to make it work in the modern gaming landscape, so if you were worried about that, you can rest easy.

They have provided a list of features, because who doesn’t like a good list.

• True to the original gameplay

• Local 2-player multiplayer

• Multiple endings

• Photomode

• Achievements

• Armory with unlockable weapons

• Hordes of the undead monstrosities in a new game mode

• Gallery with encountered enemies and bosses

The sequel to the game is also coming, but that one will be quite the ways off.
