The first trailer for Tetris - the movie, has been dropped
Apple have released the first trailer for their upcoming movie Tetris. Thankfully, this is not a tale about how someone played Tetris to save the world, but rather how one man went around the world to bring Tetris to it, check it out.
The movie will release onto Apple TV+ on March 31st. Part of the reveal of the trailer is the synopsis for the movie.
“Tetris” tells the unbelievable story of how one of the world's most popular video games found its way to avid players around the globe. Henk Rogers (Taron Egerton) discovers TETRIS in 1988, and then risks everything by traveling to the Soviet Union, where he joins forces with inventor Alexey Pajitnov (Nikita Efremov) to bring the game to the masses. Based on a true story, “Tetris” is a Cold War–era thriller on steroids, with double-crossing villains, unlikely heroes and a nail-biting race to the finish.
As someone who has been playing Tetris since the GameBoy, I am very excited to see how this movie shakes out and long time Nintendo fans will no doubt recognise some familiar faces in the movie.
