After releasing a teaser a few weeks ago, Nexon have fulfilled their promise by releasing the first full trailer for The First Descendant, an all-new action RPG shooter. Check it out below.

The First Descendant will offer players a game built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, that lets them play solo, or team up in a group of up to 4 players, as they wage war on Karel, who is leading an army of alien invaders against them.

The trailer shows off a few of the characters, there was Lepic, best described as a versatile fighter with powerful guns built into his arm, the cool Viessa who acts as a debuffer who freezes enemies by controlling cold air, the nimble Bunny who zips around using super-quick nuke with electrical attacks, and Ajax, the tank with space-warping skills, who all team up to battle huge alien bosses.

More dynamic action can also be seen through additional characters with unique skill sets. The bosses, each with unique appearances and combat styles, are susceptible to distinct player abilities, weapons, and grappling hook attacks that can cling to and remove body parts.

The game will be hosting a beta via Steam in October and those interested in taking part can sign up here, with there being six more characters than was revealed in the trailer.

The game will be a free-to-play title, launching on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, but there is no release date yet.
