The Cosplay Winners of PAX Australia 2024
PAX Australia might be done for the year, but there is still lots to talk about from the show, one of the events that took place on the Sunday was the Cosplay Central Crown Championships.
This year's craftsmanship set a new bar with its innovative use of materials like leather, rubber, metal, and an array of 3D printed elements, foam, fishing wire, and even unconventional items like an ice cream scoop and pool noodles to forge an astonishing sword.
The champion of the national contest will advance to the global stage at the Cosplay Championships in Chicago's C2E2 in 2025, proudly representing Australia. In addition to the honor, they've secured a $3000 prize, full coverage for PAX Aus 2024 including tickets and accommodation, a trophy, a medal, and the ultimate accolade in cosplaying achievement.

The winner was Claire McCutcheon aka Hench Wench, who was dressed as Halsin from Baldur’s Gate 3.
The runner-up was @whereisdanielle with her brilliant Micah-10 from Destiny 2
