The Company of Heroes Collection is bringing war to Switch later this year
The port specialists at Feral Interactive have been teasing a few games coming to Switch and one of them has been announced as The Company of Heroes Collection, which brings the first game and its two expansions to the platform. Check out the reveal trailer below.
The studio brought the series to iPad a few years ago and then phones after that, so seeing it make the jump to Switch is not that much of a stretch, however they have not simply ported the game and called it a day.
The Switch release includes an all-new console input system that uses a radial wheel, that lets players quickly select their unit or action, to keep the battle moving forward.
Of course with the Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor DLC included, that means the are 41 missions to undertake and with them taking a lot of time to win, you could be enjoying the campaigns for weeks. But beyond that, the game will come with a skirmish mode, complete with customisation options. That means factions, maps and more are all under your control, giving you command of the battlefield.
There are two things of note, first is that there is no date yet, beyond Spring 2023, which could mean tomorrow technically or November 30. The other important bit to know is that the games multiplayer, a core aspect of the series, will arrive after the game launches as an update, just not eta on when exactly.
