The Big Stories You May Have Missed Last Week
Each week there are a lot of news stories that come through, some are massive enough that they generate conversation, then there are those that can just slide on by.
This past week has mostly been news from Electronic Arts, dropping three trailers for three big games, three days in a row, which makes sense as people say everything happens in threes. Of course, we also got our first proper look at The Super Mario Bros Movie, which is already dividing the gaming landscape and a little show called PAX Australia 2022 was held.
The First Teaser Trailer For The Super Mario Bros Movie Has Arrived
After revealing that the trailer would debut at New York Comic Con, most folks just assumed that we would get an online trailer drop a few hours later, but nope, Nintendo hosted a Direct especially for the movie. The trailer gave us a great look at Bowser, Mario and Toad, with a brief glimpse of Luigi to round it out and it is on track for a March 30, 2023 release.
Need For Speed Unbound Is Racing Onto Next Gen Platforms This December
It has been roughly three years since the last console entry in the series and with Criterion Games back behind the steering wheel, there was going to be a lot of hype. A game that takes a realistic setting and cars, but layers in animation style effects is not what anyone was expecting to see, but that is what we are getting with Unbound.
Wild Hearts Delivers Its First Gameplay Video, Showing Off The Scale Of The Hunts
The reveal of Wild Hearts took place last week, but they promised more and they delivered, with a meaty gameplay video showing off the games scale and building mechanics. Watching it is far better than having me explain it, so be sure to give it a viewing.
The First Gameplay Trailer And Details Are Here For Dead Space
We have known the game was coming, we have had dev deep dives, but we had never seen proper gameplay… until now. The new trailer showed off just how different the game is compared to its original release and with some welcome additions to the gameplay mix, this should be a great game for newcomers and horror fans.
Company Of Heroes 3 Loses Its Release This Year, Picks Up One In Early 2023
We can’t have all good news it seems, as Company of Heroes 3 has been delayed, leaving its November release and now aiming for a February 2023. The reason is the same as always, more time to polish and ensure that the quality is there.
So those were the bigger stories from the week that was, do any of them interest you?
