It seems that last week, was the time when a lot of companies detailed their gaming showcases, with Disney, Bungie and Capcom announcing new ones, with Ubisoft and Gamesradar highlighting new details about theirs. But there was also a lot more to see, so here we go.
Samsung Have Announced The Odyssey Ark, A 55inch Curved Gaming Screen
Samsung have been pushing into the gaming space more and more lately and this new piece of hardware is insane, a 55inch, curved gaming monitor. No local price or date was given, just confirmation that it is coming and for those that care, you can rotate the display a full 90 degrees and have it entirely vertical.
Access To The Campaign For Call Of Duty Modern Warfare II Is Being Granted Early For Those Who Pre-Order Digitally
In a weird promotion, Activision have announced that anyone who orders Modern Warfare II digitally, will get the games campaign a week earlier than the rest of the game and those who get it on disc. There was no reason give as to why, just that they are doing it.
The First Wave Of Companies That Are Setting Up Shop At PAX Australia Have Been Announced
With PAX Australia making a return to the real world after a few years away, the first wave of gaming related companies that are setting up shop there, have been announced. This includes a few videogame folks, as well as a number of hardware folk. More are still to come, but no details as to when.
Alone In The Dark Is Making A Return After 14 Years Away
Kicking off the recent THQ Nordic showcase, Alone in the Dark is a long running series that most gamers that are new to the world of games, may not even know about. The last proper release was back in 2008 and yes there was an online only game after that, but we don’t talk about it. With creature design by some icons of the silver screen and a story written by a modern horror savant, this could be an amazing return.
Broken Roads Is Taking A New Route As The Game Gets A Delay And A New Publisher
Locally made Broken Roads was due to release this year, but instead will now come out sometime in 2023, but in addition to the game getting a delay, it also has a new publisher. Back in 2021, it was revealed that Team17 would be helping out, now its Versus Evil, but there has been no word on why the swap.
