The Big Stories You May Have Missed Last Week
Each week there are a lot of news stories that come through, some are massive enough that they generate conversation, then there are those that can just slide on by.
After a few ‘quiet’ weeks, last week was packed with news, so much so that choosing the top 5 this time, was probably the hardest group to select from. Beyond the stories below, there were multiple game streams revealed from Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak and ID@Xbox, to Future Games Show and Dead Space, the last of those has already aired now.
If that wasn’t enough, Gotham Knights was finally dated and Advance Wars 1+2 Re:Boot Camp was delayed due to the invasion of Ukraine. Plus Apple revealed multiple new pieces of hardware, from an all-new desktop machine to an updated iPad Air. Now though, here are the bigger stories that you might have missed.

While PlayStation may not have perfected their presentation format yet, there is no denying that the recent State of Play was loaded with games, many we knew about and a handful that we didn’t, including the reveal of not Dino Crisis.
Dead Space Delivers An Audial Update, While Confirming A Release In Early 2023
It has been around 8 months since we got confirmation of the game, six months since our last update on it, but now Motive Studio have changed that, by highlighting the updates to the audio that players will encounter in the new Dead Space. We also got confirmation that the game won’t release this year, like many had hoped and will instead launch in early 2023.
New Details About Overwatch 2 Are Here, Including The Reveal Of A Beta
After months of silence, Blizzard provided an update for Overwatch 2, including that a beta is coming, but the big news is that the game is being split, PvP content will be released first, while the PvE content get refined further, ensuring that players can get hands on with the next release of the beloved shooter, earlier.
Lego And Nintendo Have Announced More Super Mario Themed Sets, Releasing This August
Lego have done it again, they leaked the news, but then on Mar 10, or Mario Day as it has become known in the USA, they confirmed it, Princess Peach is getting a Lego figure, but not just any figure, one of those advanced ones like Mario and Luigi. Of course, there are also a heap of new playsets, including Peach’s Castle, or at least a portion of it.
The First Trailer For Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Is Here
With Boba Fett done and Mando still a ways away, the next Star Wars fix is coming from Obi-Wan Kenobi and now we have our first trailer for the limited series. With it taking place during the space between episodes 3 and 4, there is the chance of some live action debut of the Star Wars Rebels characters, in some form, but as this is focused on old Ben Kenobi, that is unlikely. We do get live action Inquisitors though, so that is something.
