The battle rages on as Star Wars Battlefront Collection has been announced

In the recent Nintendo Direct, Aspyr were on hand again to reveal another Star Wars remaster, this time in the form of a collection, the Star Wars Battlefront Collection.

As a collection it includes both Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II, it sadly does not include the mobile titles Renegade and Elite Squadron though. The upside, some characters that were included in those games are coming back to the others.

Here is what is included in the collection:

Star Wars Battlefront (2004)

  • Includes Bonus Map: Jabba's Palace

Star Wars Battlefront II (2005)

  • Includes Bonus Maps: Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var: Harbor, Rhen Var: Citadel, and Yavin 4: Arena

  • Includes Bonus Heroes: Asajj Ventress & Kit Fisto

Both games will retain their campaign modes, so you can enjoy them all over, with the first game letting you experience battles from Episode 1 through Episode 6. Whereas in the second game you will join the ranks of the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers, under the command of Darth Vader.

The Galactic Conquest mode is also available, letting you create strategies, recruit and train troops, all of which is to support your goal of galaxy domination.

The game will support 64 players online, so its a real battlefront of action, and when combined with on-foot and in vehicle sections, should provide for some fantastic action.

Finally, for the first time ever the mode Hero Assault, will also be playable on all maps, something that was not possible with the original release.

The game is coming out on March 14 for Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC, with a pre-order discount now available. If that wasn’t enough, anyone on Xbox or PC who owns either of the original releases in their accounts, will score a 20% discount, no matter when you buy.
