Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown has been announced

Developer Strange Scaffold have announced their next game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown. This marks the first time the turtles have gone tactical before, radical totally, but tactical is all new. Check out the announcement trailer below.

In the game, players can take control of each of the four legendary Turtles — Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo — to battle the evil Foot Clan and other infamous villains. Fight across dynamic, mutating levels, from the city rooftops to the depths of the sewers, as the Turtles face a powerful new leader on the rise. Each Turtle features a unique mini-campaign, with distinct movesets and special abilities that allow players to strategically shift the balance in turn-based combat.

Building a truly powerful licensed game requires a deep respect for the source material, love for the fans, and a willingness to challenge tentpoles of the universe to create something that both surprises and delights. Bringing that kind of experience to life requires an equally powerful relationship – so I will be forever grateful to Doug Rosen and the team at Paramount for their collaboration, and putting their trust in our team to make an original take on the world that soars. I get to make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game where the very first lines of dialogue establish that Shredder and Splinter are dead. Who else can say that?
— Xalavier Nelson Jr., founder of Strange Scaffold

Ideal for short yet impactful play sessions, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown offers fast-paced battles that can be completed in just minutes. As players advance, they build toward an epic showdown where the Turtles must come together to defeat the forces of evil.

Right now the game is only announced for PC, but there is no word if that will change. As for a release date, it is expected to arrive in 2025, but there is no firmer date than that.
