Take to the field in Cricket 24: Official Game of the Ashes this year
Nacon and Big Ant Studios have announced Cricket 24: Official Game of the Ashes, which is set to release in June for PlayStation and Xbox, with Switch owners getting the game in November. The game will feature teams from multiple countries for the first time including Australia, England, West Indies, New Zealand and Ireland with more to be announced.
There have been over 200 players that have been scanned into the game, which will let you take them into the games various tournaments like The Ashes, the KFC BBL and Weber WBBL, The Hundred, the Caribbean Premier League.
The game will also offer up the Indian T20 league, but details on that are yet to be revealed, but as there will be over 50 stadiums in the game, that might help narrow down potential options.
One of the big additions is that the main mode, The Ashes, will now include cutscenes to help sell the action as the matches proceed, no matter which side you pick.
For those who thing FIFA Ultimate Team is a worthwhile mode, Cricket 24 will offer up Pro Team, in which you can collect player cards and build your cricket dream team. Take on weekly challenges in single player game play, or go online against the world. Join with your friends to compete at teambuilding in The Auction mode.
The game is set to release on both PlayStation and Xbox consoles in June, with a free upgrade to next gen versions, but Switch owners will need to wait a few months longer, as the game is set to release in November.
