Switch Online: F-Zero is speeding onto the service next week

Nintendo have announced that F-Zero is hitting the Switch again, but this time it is in the form of two classic GameBoy Advance titles, well one really as Western players only got one of them originally. On October 11th, F-Zero GP Legend and F-Zero Climax - the Japan only game, will arrive.

F-Zero GP Legend is a racing game that plays similar to the original Super NES version of F-Zero and uses features from F-Zero X on the Nintendo 64. The game uses a new Mode 7 effect designed for the Game Boy Advance to allow the background layers to rotate and scale to display the course.

The game supported the e-reader upon its initial release and the content from those cards is included within this version as well. In addition, it also includes data that allows you to challenge the ghost data of the fastest pilots.

When F-Zero Climax releases on Nintendo Switch Online on October 11, it will be 10 days shy of being 20 years between the original Japanese release and the first time Nintendo have brought the series here. The game offers an array of elements to engage you, featuring diverse modes such as Grand Prix, which takes you on a universal tour, Time Attack, pushing your boundaries, and Survival, where you can dominate races under varying rules. Additionally, the "Course Edit" function lets you race on your own creations, with the ability to save up to 30 unique courses.
