Sega have announced that Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will have unlockable characters, or at least one, as Beat, from Jet Set Radio is coming to the game, check out the trailer for him below.

There is no spending required to unlock Beat, once you have done something in the game, Sega have not specified what, you will add him to your playable selection.

This of course does leave the door open to other Sega characters to series up, maybe Billy Hatcher, Virtua Fighter or Space Channel 5, either way the game is out this October for all platforms.
