We have known for half a year that Star Wars Visions was coming back with a third volume and now we have our first look, and that includes a few continuing stories.
There are a number of studios animating new shorts for this new series, with three of them continuing the shorts they made in volume 1. Here are the studios returning for this new volume and the stories they are continuing:
Kamikaze Douga - continuing The Duel with The Duel: Payback
Kinema citrus Co - continuing The Village Bride with The Lost Ones
Production I.G - continuing The Ninth Jedi with The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope
These are the remaining announced studios bringing stories to Star Wars Visions:
Polygon Pictures - The Bird of Paradise
Wit Studio - The Bounty Hunter
davidproduction - Black
Project Studio Q - The Song of Four Wings
Trigger - The Smuggler
Kamikaze Douga + Anima - Yuko’s Treasure
When will this new series release, well that date is set for October 29, but there is more.
At the end of the panel, Kenji Kamiyama the Director of The Ninth Jedi and the upcoming The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope revealed that the story of Kara and Judo will continue beyond the two shorts as the spin-off Star Wars: Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi was announced and is coming in 2026.
We were told that the Visions Presents spin-off series will be long-form animation, which usually means 22-minute episodes, but details are still quite light, which makes sense as they only just announced it.
