Star Wars The Book of Boba Fett blasts onto Disney+ this December

Star Wars built up the hype for Boba Fett, by having him appear in that much maligned holiday special- the story of which is getting a book adaptation, before he was taken out, with little fanfare in Return of the Jedi, but it seems that even a creature known for slowly digesting things for over a thousand years is no match for the mighty Fett, as he survived.

Disney have now announced that The Book of Boba Fett, the upcoming spin-off series from The Mandalorian, which was announced at the end of that shows second season, will be arriving on Disney+ on December 29.

In celebration of this we have a new piece of key art to enjoy, as well as confirmation that both Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen will be returning as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand respectively.

Finally, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson are the executive producers on the series and will be joined by Robert Rodriguez, known for his work From Dusk til Dawn, Machete and Spy Kids, he also directed the episode where Boba Fett reappeared within the Star Wars fiction again.
