Spider-Man swings back into cinemas in 2026 and 2027

As part of their attendance at CinemaCon, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures were on hand to reveal that Spider-Man is swinging back into cinemas beginning next year.
The new live-action Spider-Man movie is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings for Marvel Studios and has Tom Holland returning as the wall crawler.
“I’m spending my time exploring the next stage of this amazing character with a team of the most incredible artists in the world. We’re all, just daily, nerding out over the suit, how to swing, how to create an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we haven’t really seen before.”
The movie is currently called Spider-Man Brand New Day and is set to release on July 30th 2026, here in Australia at least. The only item confirmed by the studios right now is the logo, which is below.
But wait there is more, as the animated sensation Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will finally get its third and final act in 2027. The second movie ended on a cliffhangar and was expected to have the third movie released a year after that, similar to Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame.
The third movie is full into production, with Phil Lord, Bob Persichetti, and Justin K. Thompson from the development team taking to the stage to show off some of the movie, we have the screens for you to enjoy as well.
This one is set to release in American screens on June 4th, 2027, which should mean we get it on June 3rd, but animated movies always have odd release dates here, in order to line up with school holidays.
