Soul, the newest movie from Pixar is set to release on Disney+ on Christmas Day

Disney and Pixar have announced that Soul, their latest animated feature will no longer release in cinemas here in Australia and will instead release on Disney+ on December 25th, so a nice movie for you to watch while letting your Christmas lunch settle.

“The world can be an exhausting and frustrating place – but it’s also full of unexpected joys, even in seemingly mundane things,” said Docter, director of “Soul” and Chief Creative Officer of Pixar Animation Studios. “ ‘Soul’ investigates what’s really important in our lives, a question we’re all asking these days. I hope it will bring some humour and fun to people at a time when everyone can surely use that.”

“We are thrilled to share Pixar’s spectacular and moving ‘Soul’ with audiences direct to Disney+ in December,” said Bob Chapek, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company.

While there is a wait ahead, it is nice to see Disney doing more like this, there is thankfully no word on the Premiere access being required and for those that don’t have Disney+ in their own countries yet, the movie will be released in cinemas, when it is safe to to so. For now, you can check out the trailer and tv spot below, to get a little more info on Soul.
