SNK have announced that Samurai Shodown is heading to next gen, with the game coming out this Summer for Xbox Series X and Series S, check out the reveal trailer below.

The game will be the same available for PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One and PC, but will be retooled to take advantage of the new hardware.

A message from Samurai Shodown Producer, Yasuyuki Oda: “The Xbox Series X|S is Microsoft's most innovative and cutting-edge next-gen console which is ramping up to hit the market soon, and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of its massive presence in the gaming community.”

There is no word on if existing Xbox One owners will get the game for free, as part of Smart Delivery, but hopefully those details are announced soon.
