PlayStation VR2 is getting a permanent price cut next month

PlayStation Australia have confirmed that PlayStation VR2 will be cheaper in Australia beginning next month, with the RRP for dropping from $879.95 to $649.95, which makes it a nice $230 saving.

There is no other news, just the price cut. So if you have been waiting on a better price before you pick on up, then this could be good news for you.

Before you rush out to buy one though, do be aware that while PlayStation are claiming there are games coming to it, such as Alien: Rogue Incursion, Skydance’s Behemoth, and Metro Awakening VR. It is important to note that those games released in December and November, the other games they mentioned are still to come.

From PlayStation themselves, since the hardware released, they have only produce a single VR only game, Horizon: Call of the Mountain. Gran Turismo 7 has a VR mode, but it is not forced onto players, it is optional. The headset is now over 2 years of age and the company that makes it has not produced a single game in that time, outside of their own launch title, which is not a good sign.

There is a PC adapter, which lets you use the headset on a computer, but that does not support most of the advanced features, so it becomes moot.
