Outriders drops a wealth of new information, including a new playable class

Square Enix and People Can Fly, hosted the second Outriders broadcast earlier this morning and included in it, was the reveal of the games composer, mission structure and more, so strap in, there is a lot to learn.

First up is that Inon Zur, the Emmy Award Winner and three-time BAFTA nominee is the musical talent behind the games original soundtrack.

“As a composer it’s always extremely exciting to be involved in building new worlds and telling new stories, so I’m thrilled to reveal that I have composed the score for People Can Fly and Square Enix’s epic sci-fi action game Outriders. It was a lot of fun blending heavy orchestral soundscapes and futuristic musical sound design for this rollercoaster sci-fi adventure and I can’t wait to share the music with you.” said Inon Zur.

“We were really excited to have Inon on board to do the soundtrack for the game. He’s a legend in the industry and the team were big fans of his work already,” said Bartek Kmita, Creative Director of Outriders at People Can Fly. “He worked closely with us to develop a sound that fit with the story and world that we’re creating, and he composed truly dynamic and powerful tracks for us that added so much depth to the tone and feel of the game.”

In addition to what you will hear, they also revealed a new playable class for the game, the Pyromancer, including their powers, skills and how you can tweak the class to be just as you want it.

The final update for the game is the Journey and Structure segment, which as you might imagine is about how the campaign and story will unlock as you move forward.

The game is still on track for a release later in the year, with it releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and the new consoles, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
