Offline comes to Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League today
Rocksteady have revealed that the offline mode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will arrive today, or tonight if we want to be more accurate and will just be one of the final updates to the game, with the final coming in 2025.
Here is everything that the new update includes coming with Season 4 Episode 7:
OFFLINE MODE
As promised the offline mode will make its debut, which means you can enjoy the game without having to be online all the time, which was one of the complaints that many players had about the game. Every story mission and all the seasonal content that has been added can be enjoyed this way. There is a catch though, because of course there is, you need to create a new offline profile in order to play offline, thankfully you can copy your existing online profile to a new offline version and keep your progress, but you won’t be able to swap back and forth between them.
DEATHSTROKE
The final character to be added to the roster of playable ‘heroes’ will be Deathstroke, also known as Slade Wilson, not to be confused with Wade Wilson who is Deadpool. Deathstroke is a cold-blooded mercenary and one the world’s deadliest assassins. As a tactical genius armed with unparalleled swordsmanship, and a few extra toys thanks to a deal with A.R.G.U.S., Deathstroke is a one-man-army with a single objective: put an end to Brainiac’s invasion once and for all.
FINAL SEASON
With Deathstroke joining the roster, the Suicide Squad’s crusade against Brainiac is drawing to an end. Season 4 will finish up with Episode 8, which is scheduled to release in January 2025, and that will serve as the last seasonal Episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. While Season 4 Episode 8 will mark the final battle against Brainiac, all online features will continue to be available, so you’ll still be able to enjoy co-op with friends, as well as all previous seasonal/episodic content. You’ll also have the option to play the game via the new Offline mode, which allows access to the main story campaign and all post-launch seasonal gameplay content without an internet connection. A FAQ for both the offline and Season 4 update can be found here.
MEDIEVAL TWIN
A new Elseworld location is being added as well, with Medieval Twin inspired by DC’s Dark Knights of Steel comic book series written by Tom Taylor with art by Yasmine Putri.
In every dimension that the Squad have chased Brainiac to so far, he has already taken control of the Elseworld and terraformed it into his twisted vision, but something is different this time. Task Force X are catching up to Brainiac’s interdimensional conquest, and it looks like he’s only just arrived at this new Elseworld.
This Elseworld completely reconceives Superman’s hometown of Smallville as a medieval village, completely stripped of the advanced technology that empowers the modern day Justice League. While fighting against Brainiac during Incursions, you’ll be able to see the remnants of the locals’ battle against Brainiac, windmills and homes from a complete medieval village, and even the Hall of Justice reimagined as a feudal castle.
The official blog post has more details to share, around weapons and outfits and you can read all about it here.
The update is expected to arrive later tonight, but roll out times will vary by region, so just be patient. Once the update is out, the final update will come in January 2025, the 14th being the likely date and while the content will be done, the servers will remain online for a good while.
When the game launched, we liked it but found it wanting, so hopefully a years worth of updates and content has made things better for all.
