NVIDIA have unveiled three new Super 40 series graphics cards and they arrive very soon

At CES 2024, Nvidia hosted a showcase and part of that was the reveal of three new Super series graphics cards, specifically the RTX 4080 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super and the RTX 4070 Super. The best news is that the cards are all set to launch this month, at least for North America, local dates have yet to be confirmed.

The first of the new cards is the RTX 4080 Super, which is expected to hit stores on January 31st, with a MSRP of $999, which should equate to around $1800 AUD.

As far as specs go on board owners will find 16GB G6X memory, support for DLSS 3 and AV1 encoding support. Compared to the RTX 3080 Ti, the card is about twice as fast with frame generation enabled, or 1.4 times faster without it. It also has the benefit of running around 106W less in power draw.

The second of the new cards that have been announced is the RTX 4070 Ti Super, which is set to release on January 24th and has a MSRP of $799 USD, or roughly $1400 AUD.

Inside owners will find 16GB G6X memory, AV1 encoding support and a power draw of 226W, which is around 14W less than the RTX 3070 Ti. Speaking of that card, with DLSS 3 enabled on this new card, owners will get around 2.5 times performance boost, without it turned off though 1.6, which is still a decent jump.

The final card is the RTX 4070 Super, which delivers a 20% boost over the RTX 4070 card. When comparing this card to the RTX 3070, you are looking around a 50% bump in performance, with frame generation enabled. What that means is in a game like Alan Wake 2, you are getting ~45 extra frames per second.

Local availability has not been confirmed, but most makers should have those details out within the next few days.
