Nvidia have unveiled the GeForce RTX 3050, perfect for those gaming on a budget
Not content with their 3080, 3070 and 3060 series of desktop GPU’s, Nvidia have announced that starting on January 27, at least globally - a local release date is not yet confirmed, desktop gamers looking to jump into the next gen of graphics cards will have a new option, the GeForce RTX 3050, which is priced at $249 USD.
The GPU lets mass market PCs run the latest games at 60 frames per second, thanks to graphics and AI cores in its NVIDIA Ampere architecture. The RTX 3050 sports 8GB of GDDR6 memory, making it more than capable of handling most games, check out the comparison on a few games, as provided by Nvidia.
Given that the price of these cards are half of the previous 3060 series, it makes the cost of entry far cheaper than ever before.
“RTX is the new standard, and the GeForce RTX 3050 makes it more accessible than ever,” said Jeff Fisher, senior vice president of NVIDIA’s GeForce business.
