Nintendo Switch Sports is adding more to the game next week, with its first free update

Nintendo have announced that on July 28th, a new update for Nintendo Switch Sports will release, that will bring a few updates to the game, one of which is the promised leg-strap mode for Soccer.

The update will bring four changes to the game, the first is the previously announced leg-strap update for Soccer, letting you kick the ball, just like you would in real-life, though bicycle kicks are not recommended.

The second addition gives you some new moves for Volleyball – the Slide Attack and Rocket Serve. With these two new moves, it should add a little more depth to the game, something that the current version of the game is missing.

The last two updates are more focused around the online, the first is that the Pro League has increased, adding two additional levels to the game, the S Rank and the ∞ Rank.

The second of the online focused is actually something interesting and will likely be used by Nintendo at various events and that is Room IDs. With these new Room IDs, you can invite people to play with you, without them needing to be friends on your Switch, just share the code and you are done.

The update is expected to go live at 11am on the 28th, no word on how large it will be though.
