Nintendo delays Advance Wars 1+2 Re:Boot Camp due to the war in Ukraine
In a move that a few folks predicted, given the War in Ukraine, Nintendo has announced that they are delaying the release of Advance Wars 1+2 Re:Boot Camp until sometime later.
In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on 08/04. Please stay tuned for updates on a new release date.

Obviously the events that are taking place in Ukraine are disgusting, so a game that tells the story of a Russian-like country, attempting to invade other countries, is not going to be something that people would want to promote at this time.
This is the second time that the series has been impacted by global events, the original GameBoy Advance release of the first game, launched on September 10th 2001 in North America and then September 11th occurred, which caused Nintendo to delay the game in the rest of the world.
As of the time of the story being posted, Nintendo has also pulled the eShop page for the game, there isn’t any specific reason for that, but given that the eShop is located in Europe, it could be just them removing any potentially insensitive material.
