New XPS laptops are on their way from Dell

Dell have announced updates to most of their laptops, including the Alienware models, but they honestly look ugly. So this time, we are focusing on the XPS range, including the new XPS 17 and XPS 15, which look amazing, have a look at the XPS 17 below.

Above, the XPS 17 comes with the new 11th gen Intel CPU’s starting at an i5-11400ha and going up to the i9-11980HK, in addition memory can go from 8gb up to 64gb, depending on the configuration.

Those looking for gaming performance can make use of the new NVIDIA GeForce RT 3050 or NVIDIA GeForce RT 3060 GPU’s, which is good, as the screen is a 17 inch 4K UHD+ display, will DisplayHDR and Adobe RGB.

With a battery life that should last for a day of average use, along with 4 Thunderbolt ports, each with DisplayPort and power delivery options, it makes for one powerful and modern machine.

Below we have the XPS 15, which features similar specs to the XPS 17, but while the 11th gen Intel CPU’s can start at the i5-11400H, they will only allow for a max i9-11900H, memory is the same though.

On the graphics side, you have the choice of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB GDDR6 or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti 4GB GDDR6, which again powers a 15.6-inch 4K UHD+ display.

Battery here is a little different, you can choose between either a 56WHr or 86WHr battery, plus you get 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, along side the usual suspects. One nice option here is that you have the choice of Black or White in your colour scheme, something few laptops do these days.

As for when these machines will be out to buy, there is no date yet, but usually Dell announces hardware a few weeks before stores start to get them.
