New Tales From The Borderlands has been announced and is coming this October

During Gamescom Opening Night Live, 2K and Gearbox revealed the first trailer for the highly anticipated Tales from the Borderlands sequel and they are using the Mario naming scheme. Say hello to New Tales from the Borderlands and its debut trailer below.

In this new game, players will get to control three new characters, the altruistic scientist Anu, her ambitious "streetwise" brother Octavio, and the fierce, frogurt-flinging Fran, as they attempt to stay one step ahead of a planetary invasion, discover a vault and take what’s inside.

Every choice, big or small, will matter here and playing through the game will show you the impact of your choices, so think hard about each one. The game was done in-house by Gearbox, but some folks from the original Telltale Games team who created the first one, were able to help craft the narrative for this adventure.

As for platforms, the game is coming to PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. The game will also come in two flavours, the basic base game or the deluxe edition, but only like normal releases, availability on this is flipped.

If you want the standard edition, that is a digital only release and will set you back $59.95. The Deluxe Edition of the game, can be obtained at retail or digitally and will cost you an extra $20, with its RRP being $79.95.

With the Deluxe Edition, you not only get the game, but you also get the first game as well, giving you two tales to enjoy. It should be noted that if you get the game in stores, you will get a code in the box for the first game.

Digital orders for Xbox, PlayStation or PC will get Tales from the Borderlands at the time order ordering, but if you are on Switch, you won’t get it until the game is released.

Speaking of release, the game is coming on October 21st.
