Gearbox Publishing and developer Norsfell have released new details about the upcoming Season 3 update for Tribes of Midgard, focusing on the overhaul to the games Survival mode and a host more changes. In celebration, they made a new animated trailer for the update, check it out.

The Survival updates, which they are calling 2.0, has rebuilt what the Survival Mode is for the game, as it now begins in a time before the Seed of Yggdrasil had a fully fleshed-out Village to call home. The Einherjar start off in the Sanctuary in a World without any Village, Walls, Constructions, or friendly Villagers to craft for you. Veteran Einherjar, Eira Foot-Crushed, is around to provide initial guidance (and protection!) on what you need to do

With changes like that, building is now going to be critical, so the construction system has been massively overhauled as well, plus there are new items to build, to let you create the Viking home of your dreams.

There are even more changes, such as the days being longer, you can read all about them on the games official site. The update will be arriving this week for PC and PlayStation, with the game launching on Xbox and Switch with it included.
