New details for Resident Evil Village and the upcoming update have been released
Part of the Capcom Tokyo Game Show stream was dedicated to Resident Evil and while most of the content was focused on the upcoming Winters Expansion for Resident Evil Village, there was still more to talk about. Check out the video below, to get a full breakdown of what is coming.
The video above shows off some new footage of the long-awaited DLC, specifically highlight the new Third Person Mode.
We also got a look into the twisted realm within the mind of the Megamycete, providing a fresh look at the terrors lurking in “Shadows of Rose.” In this new story set 16 years after the main game, Rose Winters searches for a cure for her powers. However, she must use them to survive her encounters with the Face Eaters. These abilities allow Rose to stun her monstrous pursuers long enough to elude them or target their weak points.
Finally, viewers got a glimpse of the new “The Mercenaries Additional Orders” characters in action, including Lady Dimitrescu summoning insect swarms to exterminate her enemies.
Capcom also reiterated on the release of Resident Evil Village for Switch via the Cloud, something that does work here in Australia, along with Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 coming later. There was also confirmation that Resident Evil Village would be getting its dedicated Mac port later this year, which removes the worry about it maybe being delayed.
Finally, Resident Evil 4 Remake was confirmed to also be coming to the PlayStation 4, it was previously a next-gen only console title and PC, no Xbox One or Switch versions have been announced and are unlikely. There is also a Resident Evil Showcase coming in October, but there is no other details for that yet.
