Nanoleaf have unveiled a most iconic shape of light

The triangle is such an iconic shape, it is the shape of the sides of the Pyramids in Egypt, a piece of Toblerone and even a guitar pick, but it has never been a light before, well until now. Early this morning, Nanoleaf unveiled their next shape for their Shapes range of lighting, the Triangle. You can watch the entire presentation below, but it does run for 30 minutes, so settle in first.

Actually it was two reveals, the normal sized Triangle and the Mini sized ones and the best news, they are compatible with the hexagon range, meaning you can make some truly unique patterns, like thus.

The mini triangles might just be the one to rule them all, as with their smaller size, there is no real restriction on where you can place them.

“Nanoleaf’s vision for the Shapes Line is to give users the complete design freedom to create their most personal lighting experience yet. Smart lighting is about pushing the boundaries of possibility and that is exactly what we wanted to offer with our Shapes Line,” says Gimmy Chu, CEO and Co-Founder of Nanoleaf. “With the addition of Triangles and Mini Triangles, we’re allowing users to explore and combine lighting shapes like never before. Bringing together smart technology and thoughtful design, the Shapes Line leads the Smart Decor category for a lighting experience that truly has no limits.”

The only real restriction with the new Triangles, both sizes, is that they are not compatible with the Canvas or Panels range, so if you own them, best temper your creative juices for now.
