Nanoleaf are embracing the darkside as they celebrate 10 years, with new Ultra Black Shape Lights

Lighting gurus Nanoleaf have announced that they are now 10 years old, meaning it has been 10 years since their Kickstarter began, promising a lighting revolution and now in celebration of that, the company is bringing out their darkest lights ever, at least the blackest, with the new Ultra Black Shapes.

The new Ultra Black lights are only going to look black when not in use, leaving them to be an art piece that you design, but the moment you turn them on, you can experience the lighting that Nanoleaf have become known for.

“To be here where we are today, 10 years after starting Nanoleaf, is beyond a dream come true,” says Gimmy Chu, Nanoleaf’s CEO & Co-Founder. “We started Nanoleaf with the goal of changing the way people experience and use light in their homes. Our products have inspired creativity and play in a way that lighting had never done before. But what inspires us the most is our community. We have the best customers in the world, they are incredibly passionate and creative, and it’s been amazing to see all of the ways they’ve used our products in their living rooms, gaming and desk setups, music studios and so much more. That is what truly motivates us to continue pushing the boundaries, innovating for the next 10 years and even farther into the future.”

Turn them on to experience thousands of dynamic lighting Scenes, like community-favourites “Fireworks” and “Streaking Notes” with their chromatic animations enhanced by the high contrast of the all-black design.

The Ultra Black Panels are accompanied by all black parts including the Mounting Plates, Power Supply, and Controller for a sleek futuristic aesthetic that elevates entertainment spaces and gaming areas.

Packed with all of the features loved by Nanoleaf’s customers, the Ultra Black Panels come with Screen Mirror, Rhythm Music Visualizer, Touch, Schedules, and exclusive Connect+ technology allowing you to set up creative designs with Shapes (Triangles, Mini Triangles, and Hexagons) and Elements panels.

If you want to get these black lights for yourself, you will have to do so quickly, as they are only going to be around for a limited time. You can head to the Nanoleaf website, but be aware the RRP is $370 for the starter kit.
