MSI is bringing the curves gamers want
While not announced at CES, MSI brought the MAG342CQR screen with them, to show the world what we have been seeing since it was announced here in November 2019, that this screen is amazing.
The screen is packed with the usual tech, fast refresh times and such but now includes a colour range that includes 1.07 billion colours, meaning that you will get one of the truest representations of colour on any gaming screen.
Of course, the big draw is that the screen is curved and not just any curve, it is measured at 1000R which is the same curve of the human eye. But what does 1000R mean, it is basically the optimal viewing distance of the screen and that is in mm, so 1000mm is 1 meter, which is perfect for gaming. Most current monitors that curve are around 1800R and TV’s are around 3000R, so the higher the number the further back you need to be.
There is no release information on this one yet, but hopefully it comes soon as it looks amazing. Here are some extra shots of it that MSI released via their Instagram, banana is for scale.
