More Oddworld titles are coming to Switch

Oddworld Inhabitants, the creators of the Oddworld series, have announced a new publishing deal with French group Microids, with Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath HD being the first title included, you can order it here.

While the game is due out in just a few weeks digitally, this new deal means that a physical version is going to be on its way, sometime within the first quarter of 2020, complete with special items, though no word on what they are yet.

But that is not the exciting news, in addition to Stranger’s Wrath HD, two more titles from the Oddworld series will be coming to Switch. They have not been announced yet, but New and Tasty, the recent remake of the original game would be highly likely, Soulstorm, the newest title, which is coming to other platforms this year, is the other one, unless of course they want to bring over Munch's Oddysee.

We are very happy about this new collaboration with Oddworld Inhabitants regarding the publishing of these three classic titles! We are going to help as much as we can to ensure these masterpieces get the spotlight they deserve. These three games will fit quite nicely in our catalog where retro gaming has a prominent place. These games captivated an entire generation of gamers and some Microids employees, formerly working with the GT Interactive team, got to work on the original launch of the first Oddworld games more than 20 years ago,” said Stéphane Longeard – CEO of Microids.

Microids champions the Oddworld brand and our goal to create entertainment properties that balance beauty, empathy, creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship. They understand the classic games and indie space. This partnership is a great fit for us, and we are excited to have them onboard as we bring three classic Oddworld games to the Nintendo Switch in 2020,” said Sherry McKenna, co-founder of Oddworld Inhabitants.

Oddworld as series has been around since the PlayStation 1 days and is a fan favourite, so more games on Switch is good news.
