Monster Hunter Wilds gets a new gameplay trailer
It has only been a week, but Capcom are back again with another new trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds, this time though the trailer is made up using a lot of gameplay, check it out.
In addition to the new trailer, we also got new descriptions on the Windward Plains and the world as a whole, so let us start with the Windward Plains, which is the location we keep seeing in all the trailers.
As they navigate the sandy expanses of the Windward Plains, both hunters and native creatures must be wary of the quicksand traps set by the elusive Balahara. In the Forbidden Lands, home to numerous packs of formidable beasts like the Balahara, one can witness in the trailer how they track and overpower the previously unveiled Doshaguma. These Leviathans use a secreted mucus to smoothly glide through the terrain, launch assaults on their adversaries, and construct pitfall traps that can turn the tide of battle. Engaged in carving out their domain in this unforgiving environment, these powerful creatures are prone to sudden territorial clashes with other behemoths. Concealed by the frequent sandstorms of the area, an enigmatic apex predator bides its time, ready to unleash its electric wrath on unsuspecting prey.
Monster Hunter Wilds offers a seamless transition from story sequences to gameplay, narrating the captivating tale of a hunter at the helm of the Forbidden Lands Research Commission. As they delve into the rich ecosystem teeming with monsters and harsh terrains, the adventure begins. Upon disembarking in the Windward Plains, hunters set out to decode the enigmas of the Forbidden Lands, including the enigmatic crescent mountain that looms over the region. This odyssey encourages players to collaborate with fellow hunters to unearth the connections between this realm and its inhabitants, uniting to confront novel and intimidating adversaries.
This won’t be the last time we hear from the game, even though it is not due out until 2025. The game will be showing up at Gamescom and that will also be the first place that people can go hands on with it.
