Microsoft makes a new mouse that gets part of its components from the ocean

Part of the Microsoft Surface event was dedicated to things outside of laptops and phones that are not phones and that is where we got to meet the new Microsoft Mouse, which is made up of 20% plastic reclaimed from the ocean and other location.

Recycled ocean plastic is made from plastic waste that is recovered from oceans and waterways, cleaned, and processed into recyclable plastic resin pellets. These recycled pellets are blended in during the materials development process that makes the shell of the Ocean Plastic Mouse.

The ‘seamouse’ as I have taken to calling it, will offer up 12 months of use from a single AA battery, which is impressive and connects to your PC via Bluetooth 5.0 LE.

It will be available here on October 5 from Microsoft, but will arrive in Officework stores later in the month, with a RRP of $34.95, so an affordable offering to be sure.
