Meta Quest 3 is coming next month and its more expensive then you might have hoped
Met have announced that the Meta Quest 3 will arrive on October 10th, with order for the next generation VR headset available now, with two models available to choose from.
From lifelike games and documentaries to fantastical landscapes, Meta Quest 3’s visuals are so spectacular you’ll want to reach out and touch the world around you. The included 4K+ Infinite Display achieves a nearly 30% leap in resolution compared to Meta Quest 2, though just don’t get too excited as that spec is across both screens in the headset. Still with it you get 25 pixels per degree and 1,218 pixels per inch for the best resolution across the entire Meta Quest line.
Inside of each kit, users will find the following:
Meta Quest 3 Headset
Touch Plus controllers
Charging cable
All of that comes in 2 models, a 128gb model for $800 and a 512gb model for $1,050. Until the end of January, all buyers will also get the game Asgard's Wrath 2, which is expected to launch in December.
Just like the Oculus Quest 2 headset, you can buy a carrying case, a better strap and a strap with a battery built in for longer sessions. In addition there are now coloured straps, a charging dock, controller straps (basically what they took off from the second generation) and a different face guard.
