Marvel's Midnight Suns has a release date again and a new trailer

2K and developer Firaxis have announced that Marvel’s Midnight Suns, their upcoming tactical RPG will release for most platforms on October 7.

The platforms included in that release date are PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, an all to familiar message is that the Switch release is coming later in the year. With the new release date comes a new trailer, check it out.

When the demonic Lilith and her fearsome horde unite with the evil armies of Hydra, it’s time to unleash Marvel’s dark side. As The Hunter, your mission is to lead an unlikely team of seasoned Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors to victory. Can legends such as Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Blade put aside their differences in the face of a growing apocalyptic threat? If you’re going to save the world, you'll have to forge alliances and lead the team into battle as the legendary Midnight Suns - Earth's last line of defence against the underworld.

In addition to the release date and the new trailer, the game is now available to pre-order, but as a 2K game, there isn’t just one version to get, you have options and here they are:

The Standard Edition - $99.95

  • This is the one to get if you have either PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It includes just the base game

The Enhanced Edition - $109.95

  • This is the one to get if you have either PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S. It includes a next-gen optimised version of the game for next-gen consoles and five premium cosmetic skins

The Digital+ Edition - $124.95

  • If you have either last gen or next gen consoles, so PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One then this is the one for you. It includes 11 premium cosmetic skins and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners can get the next-gen optimised version of the game. Also PC players can get this one as well, if they want the extra cosmetic skins.

The Legendary Edition - $149.95

  • For those that want it all, this is the one to get. It includes 23 premium cosmetic skins, as well as access to the post-launch Marvel’s Midnight Suns Season Pass and is available on all platforms.

There is no word on when the Switch version will come, but in other situations like this, it has arrived a few weeks later, so perhaps an early November release, we just have to wait and see.
