Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting new DLC via the Booster Course Pack
After years of silence on the Mario Kart series, Nintendo have announced that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is set to get more DLC, in the form of the Booster Course Pass, which will add 48 new tracks across six waves, starting this March.
The big deal with this is that the tracks are being pulled from all previously released Mario Kart titles, including Tour, so if you have a favourite from Mario Kart DS, or even Mario Kart Superstar Circuit, they could make it in.
The first wave will be available on March 18 and comes with 8 tracks, across two cups, The Golden Dash and the Lucky Cat cups, here are the tracks in each.
The Golden Dash:
Paris Promenade - Tour
Toad Circuit - 3DS
Choco Mountain - N64
Coconut Mall - Wii
The Lucky Cat:
Tokyo Blur - Tour
Shroom Ridge - 3DS
Sky Garden - GBA
Ninja Hideaway - Tour
The pass is an all or nothing deal, either you pay up front and get all the waves as they release, or you get nothing. On the plus side, it is also included within the Expansion Pack for Nintendo Switch Online, so if you have that, you won’t need to pay any extra for this DLC. On the upside, if you don’t have the pass, but at least one friend does, you can still race on the tracks, if they are the host of the session, once the session is done though, you can’t race on the tracks, unless you get the pass for yourself.
If you don’t have it and want to order it, you can do that via the eShop today.
