Lorcana is ready to cast a spell in Australia on June 1st

Disney and Ravensburger have announced that after launching to smashing success elsewhere, Lorcana will be available in Australia starting on June 1st, that is tomorrow.

In Disney Lorcana TCG, players embark on a search for lost lore with their teams of glimmers. They’ll play characters, actions, and items from their hand and choose whether to “quest” for lore with their glimmers or challenge their opponents. The first player to collect 20 lore wins.

On June 1st, the first series of cards called Disney Lorcana: The First Chapter will be available in Starter Pack and Booster Pack form. The second series will arrive 2 weeks later on June 15th, in fact we have dates for all five series.

  • The First Chapter - June 1st

  • Rise of the Floodborn - June 15th

  • Into the Inklands - June 29th

  • Ursula’s Return - July 13th

  • Series 5 - August 9th

The unnamed 5th series will be getting its global release on August 9th, so Australia is joining the rest of the world with that one.

The Disney Lorcana TCG is a brand-new trading card game (TCG) set in the wondrous realm of Lorcana, where players take on the role of Illumineers and wield magic ink to summon a team of Disney characters known as glimmers, who appear in both familiar and fantastical ways. Disney Lorcana TCG was designed to be easy to learn and welcoming for TCG newcomers while still offering strategic depth for experienced players. The game also features more than 200 original pieces of Disney art that collectors and Disney fans will adore.

The official website has a number of videos on how to play the game exactly, so if you are interested in learning more you can check that out. Below is a number of cards from The First Chapter, which shows off some of the incredible art that is featured on the cards, with a few recognisable faces in the mix.

As for picking them up, EB Games and speciality TCG stores will be selling them, I know EB Games can take orders in store, but there is no listing on their website yet.
