Lego Mario Kart is racing to release this May as retailers get ready

Lego have confirmed that the Mario Kart set is real and launching on May 15. Pre-orders for it open today, so if you want to order one direct from Lego you can do so here. The original story is below
A leak a few weeks back hinted that a Mario Kart Lego set was on the way and now thanks to bricksmegastore.com, we know when and all the other details.
First up, the set is releasing from them on May 15, will that be the same for all retailers, unlikely. Lego has traditionally put things up on their website first, then speciality stores and then regular box stores. If that is the case here, Lego might sell it on the 1st of May, with Big Wi, Target and others like that, getting it later in the month, we will need to wait for sure.
As for the details, these are the important parts, including the most convoluted name since the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game… anyway, details.

For now we have photos to help pass the time. It also is a bit of a balm for the soul, given that Lego tends to leak more than Ubisoft, though I doubt the folks at Lego see this as a good thing.
And pictures of the box, which will come with the building instructions as normal, but the Lego App will also let you use the digital instructions, if you wanted to.
