Crystal Dynamics have once again teamed up with Aspyr to bring another collection of classic PlayStation games to modern players with the announcement of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered. Check out the announcement trailer for it below.

Much like many of the games remastered by Aspyr, this is getting a host of bells and whistles to ensure it takes full advantage of the modern platforms. Like the Tomb Raider collection from earlier in the year, players will be able to swap between the new and old graphics at the press of a button, you can see how they compare below.

The new look features enhanced textures, updated models and effects, all while keeping the original design align. In addition players can also make use of a new modern control scheme or if they so prefer, just enjoy the games original controls.

Finally a host of quality of life updates have been added, including a map and compass, ensuring that you don’t get lost and for those in-game photographers, there is also a photo mode. For those that care it will also have trophies/achievements on the supported platforms.

What is most exciting is that the game will have an interactive lore map, where players can view never before seen concept art and even delve into environments from the fabled “Lost Levels.”

The game is coming on December 10 for Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
