Hopefully the cards are in your favour, as Inscryption is coming to PlayStation

Like usual, out of nowhere, PlayStation dropped details on a host of indie titles, some of which we have known are coming to PlayStation consoles and some, like this one, are new reveals.

Inscryption has been out on PC for a while and people love it, we praised it in our review as well, but now PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners can enjoy this unique take on a card game, as it is coming there. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Daniel Mullins, the creator of the game took to the PlayStation Blog to talk about the game, including providing a brief description of what Inscryption is all about.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar, Inscryption is an inky black card-based odyssey that’s part deck-building roguelike, part escape-room puzzler and part psychological horror. As video game genres go, it’s a pretty potent concoction. What starts out as a devilish deck-builder soon becomes something altogether different, but I’ll leave you to discover its darkest secrets for yourself.

Now as this is coming to console, mouse and keyboard will not work for this version of the game, but with the DualSense and DualShock4 controllers, players will get immersed in the world like never before. First is that the talking Stoat card will now emit from your controller, as long as you have the speaker volume turned up there. The lights on the controller will also be used to add some additional layers of immersion, so if you are playing in the dark, get ready for some extra mood lighting and finally, the controllers will rumble. I know that last one doesn’t sound like a big thing, but given the lack of rumble on PC, it is a big change.

As for when you can get the game, there is no release date for the PlayStation release yet, but it shouldn’t be too long.
