Hi-Fi Rush is the next game from Tango Gameworks and is launching today

Popping up in the Xbox & Bethesda Developer Direct was Tango Gameworks, the folks behind Ghostwire: Tokyo. Their appearance was to reveal, officially, Hi-Fi Rush an all-new game that combines rhythm and action, like those music shooters, the more in sync with the beat you are, the better your attacks are. Check out the reveal trailer for it below.

You play as Chai, someone who was experimented on and thathas left you feeling the beat of the world. The more in sync wiht the world that you are, the more powerful your attacks can be.

Combat is not designed to be a button mashing experience, but rather built around the need to stick to the beat. Enemies and the world also stick to the beat, so those musically inclined may find themselves drumming out damage to enemies.

The game is not a non-stop brawler though, because when not in combat, you can explore the world, speciically that of Vanderlay Industries, the folks that experimented on Chai. Exploration can be done solo, but Chai will get further when he teams up with his friends, who are going to pop up in the game to lend a hand.

There is also a gameplay deep dive, should you want to learn more about what the game is offering. The best news of course is that Hi-Fi Rush is releasing today
