Help some restless spirits relax, when Spirittea steeps a release this Winter
Indie publishing champions No More Robots and developer Cheesemaster Games have announced Spirittea, an all new game that is a bit slower in pace than most, as this is a life sim, that is set in rural East Asia, that sees players fixing up an old bathhouse, and helping dozens of spirits to find their peace.
The game tells the story of a new protagonist (that’s you) ventures out to the countryside, in order to relax and find the perfect place to write their new novel. However, after drinking a cup of tea, poured from a mystical teapot, they begin to see the spirit world overlapping with their reality.
Wonyan, a nuisance cat spirit and faithful guide, shows our writer how many spirits need saving -- and hands over the keys to an old bathhouse, where spirits go to relax.
Every spirit you help will then turn up at your bathhouse, where you can offer them towels, salts, snacks, and a lovely hot soak. Upgrading your bathhouse with new furniture, rooms and baths is key to attracting the most exciting spirits, including elusive Lord Spirits, who take up an entire room each.
The game is set to launch on PC and consoles sometime during the Winter months, but a specific date has not yet been confirmed.
