Gotham Knights drops a new trailer and two old platforms
WB Games have announced that Gotham Knights is still on track to release on October 25th, but will now no longer release the game on either Xbox One or PlayStation 4, making this a next generation game only.
No specific reason was given, just the following line:
Please note, to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.
It is not an unexpected development, as the cost of getting a game that can run on base models of both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as take full advantage of the next gen offerings, wouldn’t be cheap. What is surprising though, is that they let players think for years they would be able to still enjoy the game on last gen platforms, heck it was first announced before the current Xbox and PlayStation consoles release.
While that is the sad news, there is some good news and that comes in the form of new gameplay that features Nightwing and Red Hood, both former Robins. In this gameplay walkthrough, each hero’s distinct fighting style and open-world traversal abilities are on full display, from Nightwing’s unique acrobatic combat and aerial glider to Red Hood’s twin firearm skills and powerful leaping capability.
Finally, the game can now be pre-ordered, for those that like to do that, with a few options available for players, first up is just the base game, which is priced at $109.95 RRP on consoles, it just comes with the game.
The Deluxe Edition of the game however comes with the Visionary Pack and of course the game, contained with in the pack are the following:

If all that seems nice, but you want the best, there is also going to be a Collectors Edition, pre-orders are open for it at EB Games, as it is exclusive to the retailer, you order it here for Xbox Series X and here for PlayStation 5, just make sure you have a spare $500
