Unknown Worlds have announced that Subnautica 2 is happening and will launch into early access for PC and Xbox Series X|S in early 2025. Check out the teaser trailer for it below.
Subnautica 2 invites players to delve into a new alien ocean world, teeming with colorful biomes, peculiar creatures, and concealed mysteries. Solo adventurers or groups of friends can craft equipment, construct personalized bases, and traverse the depths of this captivating extraterrestrial realm, creating unique tales of survival.
The game's latest iteration proudly debuts a multiplayer co-op mode, transforming the journey into a shared venture. Groups of up to four can jointly explore expansive underwater landscapes, combine efforts in tool-making, base-building, and confront the perils of a world that is as breathtaking as it is hazardous.
Expanding on what fans loved about the previous games in the series, Subnautica 2 will deepen the experience with new biomes, from towering underwater cliffs to lush coral fields, each filled with unique creatures and hidden mysteries.
