Get ready to race on the rivers of New York in Dirt 5

Codemasters have announced a few things regarding Dirt 5 overnight, the first is that when players boot up the game, one of the possible race locations will be the East River in New York City, yes a river. Granted, it will be frozen, covered in snow and in the dark, you know what, just check out the trailer, it makes sense to see it in action.

Robert Karp – DIRT 5 Development Director “Nothing beats a winter’s evening in New York unless you are battling it out in rally cars on the frozen East River. It takes skills and courage to drift and slide across the ice, and one mistake can take you from first to last in an instant. We’re also excited to confirm DIRT 5 as a launch title for Xbox Series S/X, and we can’t wait to share more details in the coming weeks”

Yes, the other news is that the Xbox Series X version of the game, and Series S, will release on November 10, just a few days after the newly announced release date of November 6.

If you get the game on Xbox One and then later get the Series X, you will get access to the next gen version for free, the same deal will happen for the PlayStation versions, which is good news, because as of now the PlayStation 5 has no release date.
