Get ready for a revolution as Far Cry 6 is launching this October

After being radio silent for a number of months, Ubisoft released a barrage of news overnight for Far Cry 6, including new details about Dani Rojas, the protagonist of the story, how you will fight using guerilla tactics and make shift weapons and beyond.

Check out the new trailer, highlighting Dani and his or her, as you can select either gender, and the quest of revenge they decide upon, after dictator Antón Castillo orders the execution of folks Dani is close to.

But Dani won’t be fighting alone, you will join forces with interesting folks, including Clara Garcia, the leader of revolutionary group Libertad, or Juan Cortez, a jaded ex-KGB spy and guerrilla master as they fight their way to take down the tyrant.

There is more to the game than just shooting everything, for every fighter has rules of engagement, even if you are a guerilla fighter. That is no different here as players will embrace the “resolver” spirit, a philosophy of resourcefulness found across Yara, making use of everything and whatever they have to inflict chaos on the regime.

Fueled by the creativity of “resolver” mastermind Juan Cortez, Far Cry 6 features a broad and unexpected arsenal of customisable “resolver” weapons and tools. From a motorcycle engine powered minigun to a homing missile throwing backpack, pushing the “resolver” spirit to the limit will grant Dani the power of an entire guerrilla army.

Of course this is Far Cry, so you won’t have to fight alone, if you want to, but regardless if it is you alone, or with a friend, the island of Yara will not be a forgiving place to fight in. From lush jungles, guerilla camps, military bases and beyond, the land will be a challenge as much as the army, but with Antón’s army controlling the air, roads, and seas, that jungle might not seem such a bad idea.

Players will operate from hidden guerrilla camps across the country, gathering soldiers and resources while planning their next move. Players will have to navigate the world and approach situations like true guerrilla fighters to make sure every strike against the regime hits hard.

Far Cry 6 will release on October 7 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC via Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store, as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
