Gears 5 is getting an expansion next week with Hivebusters
Xbox have announced that Gears 5 will receive a new expansion next week, yes expansion, with Hivebusters, an all new story that features three new playable characters and a very dangerous new mission.
In the new expansion, play as Lahni, Keegan and Mac – the heroes introduced in Gears 5’s Escape mode – in their first mission as part of the secretive Hivebuster program. Thrown together and dubbed “Scorpio Squad,” their suicide mission to destroy a Swarm hive may hold the key to saving Sera and their own redemption.
For those that own the game, the expansion can be bought for $29.95, but if you own Xbox Game Pass, the expansion is included there as part of the subscription. If you don’t own the game, or have Xbox Game Pass, a Game of the Year edition will also be released, containing both the base game and the expansion.
