Game On Cancer is calling on superhero streamers to help raise money for cancer research

Game On Cancer have announced that they are kicking off a new charity drive, with the start date being National Superhero Day on April 28 and then running through May 11, the goal, to raise more money for cancer research.

All creators need to do is host a charity stream on their channels and then engage their audience to donate. Streamers can go to Tiltify to sign up and get involved and every dollar raised will support vital cancer research. Every fundraiser will also have the chance to become a Game On Cancer MVP and earn exclusive merch to celebrate their fundraising efforts.

Over the two weeks, people can tune into livestreams from their favourite creators and donate to be in the running to win prizes from Game On Cancer’s partners. The aim is to raise $50,000 AUD which will help fund six months of life-saving cancer research.

To date, Cure Cancer’s Game On Cancer initiative has raised over $410,000 AUD for cancer research, which is enough to fund over four years of research. Previous fundraisers have included some of Australia’s largest names in gaming like Loserfruit, Drewdog, PandaTV and Aussie Antics.

Cure Cancer is dedicated entirely to funding early career researchers and to date has provided over 540 research grants to young scientists with ground-breaking innovative ideas, many who have gone on to become leaders in cancer research globally.

If you want to donate money now, or sign up and stream during the event to raise money then, you can do both here. Bethesda Australia, Xbox Australia and Ubisoft Australia and just some of the companies sponsoring the drive, so they will be hosting special streams during it as well.
